Civil Court
Age Discrimination
Plaintiff, who was employed as a security officer for a private contractor, filed a lawsuit alleging unlawful age discrimination after his employment was terminated after he was involved in an incident with an unruly customer at a social security office. The district court granted the defendant’s motion for summary judgment and plaintiff appealed. The Seventh Circuit affirmed, finding that the record contained no evidence that DHS’s suitability determination was made because of plaintiff’s age. (EASTERBROOK and SCUDDER, concurring)
