Child Custody - Visitation
Respondent appealed from a trial court order suspending respondent’s visitation over his minor child until he completed certain tasks recommended by his caseworker, arguing that the trial court abused its discretion in denying him visitation. The appellate court agreed and reversed and remanded, explaining that the trial court suspended respondent’s visitation solely to compel him to cooperate and without adequate justification or reference to the best interests of the child.
