Plaintiff was arrested and later acquitted of domestic battery and filed a lawsuit against the arresting officers, alleging that they arrested him without probable cause and without a warrant in violation of his constitutional rights. The district court granted the defendants’ motion for summary judgment and plaintiff appealed. The Seventh Circuit affirmed, explaining that it had little difficulty finding probable cause for the arrest where the victim had injuries consistent with a physical altercation and where the victim made statements attributing her injuries to the plaintiff. (EASTERBROOK and PRYOR, concurring)
