Federal 7th Circuit Court
Civil Court
Age Discrimination
Plaintiff, a neurosurgeon, filed a lawsuit against his former employer alleging age discrimination. The district court granted summary judgment to the defendant and plaintiff appealed. The Seventh Circuit affirmed, finding that no reasonable jury could find in the plaintiff’s favor where there was evidence of a non-discriminatory reason for termination of plaintiff’s employment and where plaintiff did not establish that the reasons for his termination were lies or deceits to cover up intentional age discrimination.
