New rules governing who can use electronic bikes and scooters, including where and how fast they go, will go into effect next year following Gov. JB Pritzker’s signature on Wednesday.

The city’s work to serve survivors of domestic and sexual violence through the Family Peace Center could be used as a model for communities across the state under a recently passed law.

A new state law will make it easier to get prescriptions filled. Pharmacies will be able to electronically transfer more prescriptions from one location to another.
