Last fall’s “Operation Midway Blitz” campaign to remove the “worst of the worst” was more hype than reality, a Chicago Sun-Times / WBEZ analysis has found. Immigration officers were often more successful at detaining serious criminals before and after the high-profile mass deportation campaign in Chicago nearly one year ago.
