The circuit court entered judgment in favor of the plaintiff under section 19(g) of the Workers’ Compensation Act and defendant appealed. The appellate court reversed and remanded, finding that the circuit court’s judgment impermissibly modified the decision of the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission by requiring defendant to pay plaintiff the amount billed for medical care rather than the amount that had been paid to satisfy the bills and because the record lacked evidence that defendant refused to pay the amount that was owed under the medical award so that there were no grounds to award attorney fees and costs against the defendant.
