Ineffective Assistance of Counsel
Defense counsel is not ineffective when rejecting a defendant's directive that counsel serve as merely conduit for defendant during plea negotiations, as a defendant's role in plea negotiations when represented by counsel is limited to accepting or rejecting agreement for a plea that counsel for defense and State have reached.
