Illinois Appellate Court
Civil Court

Plaintiff never caused clerk to file appellate record, but instead himself filed copies of a selection of documents in case. Absence of certified record is fatal to appeal, as appellate court cannot decide whether it has jurisdiction. (HUTCHINSON and SCHOSTOK, concurring.)
