People v. Lopez

(Court opinion corrected 7/9/14.) Defendant, age 15 at time of arrest, was convicted after jury trial of murder for his participation, along with several co-defendants, in beating death of tortilla factory worker in factory parking lot. Court erred by admitting evidence about attack on a man by some co-defendants in same parking lot three weeks earlier, as no evidence that Defendant had knowledge of or participated in that previous attack, or that second attack was in retaliation for first attack.
