Illinois Appellate Court
Civil Court
Unemployment Insurance Contribution
Court affirmed administrative decision of IDES, holding that raise in Plaintiff's rate for contributions to Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund for calendar year 2013 was proper. IDES' revision of Plaintiff's contribution rate was not barred by Section 1509 of Unemployment Insurance Act. Assessment of interest was proper under the Act. Plaintiff failed to pay the additional contributions under protest within 30 days of notification of revised contribution rate and amounts owing, and could have thereby avoided accrual of any interest.(HOWSE and BURKE, concurring.)
