Illinois Appellate Court
Civil Court
Standing
Plaintiff, a Cook County attorney, filed a successful posttrial motion to reverse his client's criminal conviction and obtain a new trial. Plaintiff alleged that in retaliation, Defendants made complaint against him with ARDC, alleging moral turpitude and dishonesty and fraud. Court properly dismissed complaint as to ARDC allegations, based on absolute immunity for ARDC reporting under Rule 775. Court properly dismissed claims of prosecutorial misconduct in criminal trial of his client, as those are claims of a 3rd party, and Plaintiff has no standing to make those claims. (ELLIS and BURKE, concurring.)
