Reversed and remanded.

Defendant was found guilty of first-degree murder and aggravated battery with a firearm and was sentenced to 84 years in prison. Defendant pursued multiple arguments on appeal. The appellate court reversed and remanded, finding that while the evidence was sufficient to support defendant’s convictions, the trial court should have suppressed his inculpatory statements to detectives because he clearly and unequivocally invoked his right to remain silent and that invocation was not honored.
