Defendant was convicted of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and appealed, arguing that the trial court improperly allowed the admission of other wrongful acts to establish intent when the defendant had not put intent at issue. The appellate court agreed and reversed, finding that intent was not at issue where defendant merely denied that he committed the alleged acts and, as a result, the trial court abused its discretion when it admitted other acts evidence.
