Illinois Appellate Court
Criminal Court
Pre-Sentence Credit
Defendant appealed from the trial court’s denial of his motion to correct errors in the calculator of his presentence custody credit. Defendant argued that the trial court erred when it refused to calculate sentencing credit for the completion of several county programs while in custody. The appellate court vacated and remanded so that the trial court could address the defendant’s claim regarding programming credit and that defendant did not have the right to counsel in those proceedings.
