Federal 7th Circuit Court
Criminal Court
Sex Trafficking
Ct. of Appeals rejected defendant’s argument that his conviction on subjecting nine women to sex trafficking by force in violation of 18 USC section 1591(a) must be vacated because section 1591(a) applies only to sex trafficking of minors. Ct. of Appeals found that plain language of section 1591(a) applies to both sex trafficking of minors and sex trafficking by force of adults. It also rejected defendant’s contention that section 1591(a) is unconstitutionally vague.
