Health Insurance Coverage
Plaintiff, the special administrator of her deceased husband’s estate, filed a lawsuit challenging the defendant’s denial for reimbursement of out-of-network medical expenses. The district court granted summary judgment in favor of the defendant and plaintiff appealed. The Seventh Circuit affirmed, explaining that it was compelled to do so because of the deferential standard of review applied to the denial of benefits. (EASTERBROOK and JACKSON-AKIWUMI, concurring)
