U.S. v. Weiss

Defendant was convicted of wire fraud, mail fraud, and bribery in connection with his attempts to bribe state legislators to pass legislation favorable to sweepstakes machines, products that were manufactured by the defendant’s company. On appeal, defendant challenged statements that the district court admitted at trial, one of the jury instructions, and his sentence. The Seventh Circuit found no errors and affirmed.
