The Illinois Supreme Court announced amendments to Supreme Court Rule 315 as well as clarifying language amendments to Rules 46 and 604, 605, and 606. The changes are intended to expediate pretrial appeals before the Court.

The Illinois State Bar Association’s Lawyer Finder Service provides referrals to local lawyers Mondays through Fridays. The Service makes referrals in a number of areas of law. For the month of November, 2023, ISBA helped 1,336 people in need of legal services find lawyers. 

One part of the ISBA Presidential Initiative on Access to Legal Services is opening access to courts through the consistent, continued use of remote appearances. To improve remote proceedings, the ISBA Delivery of Legal Services Committee is conducting a survey on remote proceedings.
