Hansen Diversity Leadership Council, June 2022 Illinois has long limited employers from considering an applicant’s or employee’s arrest records in making employment decisions, but a recent amendment to the Illinois Human Rights Act goes a step further by extending that prohibition to employment decisions based solely or in part on conviction records.
