Supreme Court Rule 277, titled Supplementary Proceedings, governs the conduct of Citations to Discover Assets. The Illinois Supreme Court’s Access to Justice Commission established a Consumer Debt Committee under the leadership of then-Appellate Justice Sanjay Tailor. The committee was charged with suggesting proposals that will further access to courts by self-represented litigants.
