Business Meeting Expense Reimbursement

For Annual and Midyear Meetings, the Association is required to reserve a significant block of guest rooms at the headquarter hotel(s) as well as guarantee that members will use a large percentage of the reserved rooms. If we fail to use the contracted number of guest rooms, we pay a penalty. As a result, members who will be requesting reimbursement of expenses in conjunction with these meetings, must stay at the headquarter hotel. In the event the room block sells out, members having to seek alternate arrangements will be eligible to seek reimbursement pursuant to the Reimbursement Policy, provided the alternate reservation was secured after the headquarter hotel sold out. Reimbursement Forms will be distributed at each Business Meeting, including at the conclusion of the Assembly Meeting and must be submitted within 45 days of the meeting.

Special Needs

Attorneys with special needs, such as those who are physically-challenged, have food allergies or nursing mothers, should contact the Annual Meeting Coordinator at kweaver@isba.org at least one week prior to the program to determine how ISBA can facilitate their attendance. Venues for ISBA conferences are selected for maximum accessibility.

Visually-impaired members are welcome to bring an additional individual at no additional charge to take notes or assist at any program. (Please be sure to register the assistant, as space is sometimes limited.)

A private lactation room will be designated and a key for the room will be available at the ISBA Registration Desk.

Members with dietary restrictions or food allergies must notify the Annual Meeting Coordinator at kweaver@isba.org at least one week in advance of the event in order to provide the venue with necessary time to accommodate the request. Although we make every effort possible to accommodate all requests, we are unable to guarantee special dietary requests made onsite.
