Phi Alpha Delta Law awards Ward Scholarships

The Chicago Alumni Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity recently held its 2010 Justice Daniel P. Ward Law Student Scholarship Dinner.  The Chicago Alumni Chapter annually awards scholarships to deserving law students, named in honor of the late Daniel P. Ward, who served the profession in a number of distinguished positions: Chief Justice of the Illinois Supreme Court, Cook County State's Attorney, and Dean of DePaul University College of Law. Justice Ward was a model for the Fraternity's mission of service to the student, the school, the profession and the community, which is exemplified by this year's six recipients, who received a total of $5,000.  $1,000 Awardees: Nicholas J. Liadis, DePaul University College of Law; Janet Soave, Loyola University School of Law.  $750 Awardees: Megan Liston, The John Marshall Law School; Jennifer Weston, Northern Illinois University College of Law. $500 Awardees: Sierra Marie Falter, DePaul University College of Law; Julie Pirtle, Northern Illinois University College of Law.
