The Illinois State Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division recently received an ABA Award of Achievement in recognition of the group's Children Assistance Fund. These awards are designed to encourage project development by recognizing the time, effort, and skills expended by young lawyer organizations in implementing public service and bar service projects in their communities. The ISBA YLD Children’s Assistance Fund, in concert with the Illinois Bar Foundation, seeks to provide grants to organizations across the state related to children and law. It also focuses on providing children's waiting rooms available at courthouses around the state.
