DuPage County accepting applications for associate judge vacancy

Chief Judge Kathryn E. Creswell announced that the Circuit Judges are accepting applications to fill a vacancy for the Office of Associate Judge of the 18th Judicial Circuit Court of Illinois, DuPage County. This vacancy is a result of the appointment of Associate Judge Karen M. Wilson to Circuit Judge.

Any attorney, who is a United States citizen, is licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois, and is a resident of the 18th Judicial Circuit may apply by electronically filing a signed application form with the Director of the Administrative Office of Illinois Courts. The instructions for submitting an application electronically are available on the Supreme Court’s website: www.illinoiscourts.gov.

If unable to submit an application electronically, an applicant must submit two (2) signed originals of the prescribed application with the Director of the Administrative Office of Illinois Courts at the address listed below:

Whether electronically flied, mailed or hand delivered, all applications must be received in the Administrative Office by August 18, 2016. Applications will not be accepted if submitted via facsimile. If filed electronically, the deadline is 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2016. If mailed or hand delivered, the deadline is 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2016. A form for application may be obtained from either the Chief Judge’s Office, the Administrative Office of Illinois Courts or from the Illinois Supreme Court website: http://www.illinoiscourts.gov and download from the documents/application/forms link.
