Chief judge announces two finalists for associate judge vacancy

Chief Circuit Judge Kathryn E. Creswell is pleased to announce that following an October 31, 2016 meeting of the Circuit Judges of the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit Court, two finalists for the Office of Associate Judge have been selected and certified to the Illinois Supreme Court. The finalists are seeking to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Associate Judge Mary E. O’Connor. From these names, the Circuit Judges will select one appointee by secret ballot.

Joshua J. Dieden, J.D.-DePaul University College of Law, Chicago, IL 1998; admitted to the practice of law in Illinois, 1998. Mr. Dieden currently is an Associate with Richard A. Kayne & Associates, Naperville, IL (2006-present). Previously, he was an Assistant State’s Attorney for the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office in Wheaton, IL (1998-2006). Mr. Dieden is an active member with the DuPage County Bar Association.

Michael W. Reidy, J.D.-DePaul University College of Law, Chicago, IL 1996; admitted to the practice of law in Illinois, 1996. Mr. Reidy is of Counsel with Marquardt & Belmonte, Wheaton, IL (2012-present). Previously, he was a Partner with Martin, Kent & Reidy, Wheaton, IL (2010- 2012); First Assistant State’s Attorney for the Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office in Yorkville, IL (2006-2010); and an Assistant State’s Attorney for the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office in Wheaton, IL (1997-2006). Mr. Reidy is an active member with the DuPage County Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.
