Burl Forbes Nader 1921-2018

Burl Forbes Nader, 97, died Monday, June 11, 2018, at Libertyville Manor. He was born May 14, 1921, in East Alton, Ill., and was a Libertyville resident since 1950. 

He was a graduate of Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Mo., and the University of Michigan Law School. Burl was a Libertyville attorney for many years and a member of the Lake County Bar Association. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was past commander and finance officer for the Libertyville American Legion Post #329 and also a member of the Libertyville VFW Post #8741. Burl was an active member of the Gardeners of Central Lake County and served on the board of directors for Lakeside Cemetery Association. 

Surviving is his wife of 73 years, Jean Nader; daughter, Mary (Michael) Hoaglin; four sons, John Nader, David (Kathy) Nader, Peter (Ruth) Nader, and Gregg (Patty) Nader; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his son, James Forbes Nader; grandson, Jeffery Nader; and brother, George Nader.
