Jon Allard Jr. 1964-2018

Jon Allard Jr., 54, of Belleville, died Wednesday, September 12, 2018. He was born March 24, 1964, in Belleville.

Jon was a loving father, husband, son, brother and friend to all. He was happiest when he was coaching his kids' sports teams, traveling with his wife, and going to live concerts. Helping others was core to who he was, which is evident with his 18 years of distinguished service as a prosecutor in the St. Clair County States' Attorney's Office. In his career, he was most proud of the time he served as the chief of administration and was the director of the States' Attorney's Crime Prevention Task Force. In later years, he worked as a lawyer for Kurowski Schultz LLC.

Jon suffered from depression and even his closest family and friends did not know the severity. He was a good and kind man whom everyone loved, and he was always helping others even throughout his own struggle. Even in his final day, he wanted to help others by spreading the word to people who suffer from depression to reach out and get help. We respectfully ask that donations be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in remembrance of Jon Allard Jr.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia "Gini" (nee Farr), Allard of Belleville; children, Abigail Allard of St. Louis, Mo., Samuel Allard of San Antonio, Texas, Katie Allard of Kirkwood, Mo., Frank Westwood (Elise Knobeloch) of St. Louis, Mo., Lexie (Michael) Bailey of Shiloh, Ill., and Baylee Reeser of Belleville; parents, Jon and Carol (nee Jacquot) Allard Sr.; brother, Chris Allard of Belleville; uncle, Mark (Kathy) Allard of Raleigh, N.C.; two aunts, Jill Jacquot of Belleville, and Sandra Carron of Bend, Ore.; and his buddy, Slink.
