The fifth stop on the Illinois Supreme Court’s Access to Justice Listening Tour took place on October 22 and 23 in Cook County. Attendees included judges, state’s attorneys, public defenders, court personnel, and members of the private bar, who discussed how COVID-19 has impacted the court system and the practice of law. In addition to Chief Justice Ann Burke, Justice P. Scott Neville, Justice Mary Jane Theis, and Justice Rita Garman participated in the event, along with Cook County Chief Judge Timothy Evans. ISBA President Dennis Orsey moderated the event on behalf of the ISBA.
