OSAD Offering Free Training for Supreme Court’s Pro Bono Program

The Illinois Supreme Court’s Volunteer Pro Bono Program for Criminal Appeals recently expanded statewide to include cases in all five appellate districts.

Attorneys who meet eligibility criteria can submit a volunteer application to the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts. In addition, OSAD offers a free five-week online training course for attorneys to become eligible for the program and who are willing to accept a case assignment. The course is free, has a flexible schedule, and offers 11.25 hours of MCLE credit.

The next training is scheduled from January 4—February 5, 2021 and attorneys must register no later than December 31 by emailing probono@osad.state.il.us. You can find full details about the training course online.
