Michael B. White 1944-2020

Michael Bruce White, 76, of St. Louis, formerly of Hillsboro and Litchfield, passed away at home on Friday, December 18, 2020.   

He was born on Nov. 28, 1944, in Hillsboro, IL, a son of Bruce Fisher and Martha Louise (Wilson) White.  Mr. White graduated from Hillsboro High School with the Class of 1962.  He went on to pursue a Bachelors in accounting at Washington University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Illinois, and passed the Illinois Bar Exam in 1973.

His first marriage was to the former Margaret Meier. They later divorced.  On February 25, 1983, he married the former Kim Meicenheimer in Hillsboro, IL.  She survives. 

Mr. White was an Attorney with Bullington & White; Rosche & White; in Hillsboro and Bailey & Associates in Litchfield.  He was formerly the owner of the Sears Hometown Dealer store in Litchfield.  He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hillsboro.  Mr. White was an avid golfer; he loved musicals and was a season ticket holder at Muny Theatre in Forest Park for twenty seven years; and spending time at Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic.  Mr. White was instrumental and lobbied in getting Graham Correctional Center located in Hillsboro and the continuing recovery center in Irving, IL. 

In addition to his wife, Kim, he is survived by: 1 son, James Michael (Lisa) White of Hillsboro, IL; 1 daughter-in-law, Diana White of Elmhurst, IL; 1 brother, Richard Wilson (Glenda) White of Rocky Mount, MO; 4 sisters, Kathleen (Michael) Wynn of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; Cynthia (Harvey) Pettry of Olney, IL; Nancy (Tom Sagartz) Lane of Osage Beach, MO; Patricia (Steve) White-Fuller of Kirkwood, MO; 7 grandchildren, Dylan White; Darby White; Koby White; Isabella White; Anthony White; Jordan White and  Lukas White. 

Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents and 1 son, Timothy Richard White.
