Anna Krolikowska Installed as 145th President of the Illinois State Bar Association

Anna Krolikowska, the founder of Anna K Law in Northbrook who concentrates her practice in family law, was installed as president of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) today at the Illinois Supreme Court building in Springfield.

During her year as president, Krolikowska will concentrate on several initiatives aimed at services for ISBA members, starting with a 15 percent COVID-19 dues credit for renewing members. Another key initiative will be the ISBA Business Institute, which will feature a number of programs designed to help new and experienced attorneys enhance their business skills and acumen. Topics will include marketing services to clients; essentials for starting a practice; using business decisions to increase profits; and capitalizing on change.

Krolikowsa will also continue to champion the ISBA Leadership Academy, which was launched in 2019 with the aim of training attorneys to develop the necessary skills to take on leadership positions within the ISBA and the legal profession.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) will be an utmost priority throughout her presidential year. The ISBA will work with DEI consultants to implement meaningful changes to foster diversity and equity, and strengthen inclusion within the association. Additionally, the ISBA will host continuing legal education programs on implicit bias and inclusion, as well as a program about running for ISBA leadership offices. Finally, the important work of the ISBA Steering Committee on Racial Inequality will continue.

Continuing the lessons learned during the pandemic, the ISBA will also offer work-life balance and wellness programming for ISBA members and their significant others, as well as an event for women in the legal profession.

Krolikowska formed K&R Legal Services in Northbrook in 2008 and was also its managing partner. In late 2020, she formed Anna K Law, and remains based in Northbrook. Her practice focuses on mediation and collaborative divorce work.

After serving for many years on various ISBA sections, committees, and the Assembly, Krolikowska served on the Board of Governors before being elected as Third Vice President in 2018. While on the Board of Governors, Krolikowska served and chaired the General Solo and Small Firm Section Council.

Krolikowska received a bachelor’s degree and J.D. from Loyola University Chicago.
