Diversity Leadership Council Publishes New Issue of Diversity Matters

A new issue of Diversity Matters, the annual publication of ISBA’s Diversity Leadership Council, is now available to all ISBA members online.

Every year, the Council — comprised of the ISBA standing committees on Disability Law, Racial & Ethnic Minorities & the Law, Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity, and Women & the Law, as well as Human & Civil Rights and International & Immigration Law section councils — publishes an issue that offers a variety of perspectives and covers topics of importance to ISBA’s diverse membership.

This year’s issue includes a discussion on how to use language intentionally to foster a more inclusive legal field, reflections from two ISBA members with disabilities on their experiences in the workplace, an analysis of the U.S. Supreme Court opinion in which the Court held that Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity, and much more.

Editor's note: This issue of Diversity Matters is traditionally published in print for distribution at the Midyear Meeting. Since the Midyear Meeting will be virtual this year, this issue is being published digitally and is available for all to read.
