Beloved husband of 47 years to the late Leona H., nee Tadda; loving father of Mary (Theodore) Williams, the late Paul (late Kimberly) (Bernadette), Peter (late Marianne), David (Diane), Anne (Thomas) Lysaught, Celeste (Bruno) Fieramosca and Therese (Philip) Reniche; cherished grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, friend and attorney of many.

Joseph had a general solo practice as an attorney in various fields of law, specializing in probate law and elder law. He was a member of ISBA and CBA, for which he served on several committees. He served on the Defense of Prisoners Committee as Vice-Chairman and Chairman and was a member of the inquiry and hearing panels of the Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Committee. Joseph was past pro-bono indig. prisoners rep. in U.S. District Court and past pro-bono G.A.L. rep. in Cook County Probate Court.
