Frederick “Fred” Michael Endres of Oakdale, Illinois, was born on January 9, 1940, in Peoria, Illinois, and was the only child of Helen and Alvin Endres. He passed away peacefully on February 8th, 2022 at home.

He received a Bachelor’s Degree in business administration from Valparaiso University and a Juris Doctorate degree from Saint Louis University. He was an attorney who served both in private practice and as a Washington County State’s Attorney. He married Jeannette Marie Brakhane on July 7, 1963. Fred proudly served in the United States Air Force. He was the Village Clerk of Oakdale, Illinois, for 40 years. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville, Illinois, where he served as an elder and was a member of the Fellowship Club until he moved to Sparta, Illinois, in 2018. He then joined St. John Lutheran Church. He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, gardening, and Cardinal baseball. He loved the devoted care and attention he received from the staff at Cedarhurst of Sparta and his Vitas Healthcare team.

Fred is survived by his loving wife Jeannette, wonderful daughter Alicia (Ray) Hiller, and phenomenal granddaughter Holleigh Hiller.
