Robert “Bob” Connors

Robert “Bob” Connors, age 55, of Chicago; loving husband of Frances Connors; proud father of Maddie & Jack Connors; cherished son of Marsha & the late Bob Connors; dear brother of Christopher Connors.

Bob was a brilliant, creative, and driven man. He received his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in 1989. He began his career as an Engineer at Air Liquide America where he designed equipment for large high-tech companies and was awarded six U.S. patents. In his early 30’s, he pursued a career as a patent attorney. He received a JD from Loyola University graduating cum laude in 2000. He began his legal career with K & L Gates where he remained for 22 years. As a senior equity partner, he focused primarily on patent procurement and intellectual property litigation for the medical industry.

Despite his professional success, Bob was always humble and a man of simple pleasures. He enjoyed grilling for his family and friends, spending time with his beloved children, rehabbing and inventing things in his workroom, playing baseball with his over-50 team, golfing, watching the Chicago Bears every Sunday, and occasionally grabbing a cold Miller Lite at a local bar. When he could tear himself away from work, he loved traveling to the ocean and was pursuing his SCUBA license.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bob’s name to the American Heart Association are appreciated.
