ISBA Survey on Small Town and Rural Practice

On behalf of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) Special Committee on Serving Lawyers in Rural Practices, I invite you all to help with our important work by completing a brief survey. The survey is less than 20 questions and should take no longer than ten minutes to complete.

Results from the survey, along with insights gained from the recent listening tour events, will help inform the Special Committee’s work as it prepares a final report and recommendations for programs and services that the ISBA could offer to assist small town and rural practitioners.

The Special Committee on Serving Lawyers in Rural Practice was created to augment the work of the ISBA Standing Committee on the Rural Practice Initiative. The Special Committee has been asked to focus on examining and making recommendations on how ISBA can best serve the needs of lawyers practicing in rural areas of Illinois. The Special Committee will address the segue between the needs of rural practitioners and the Rural Practice Fellowship Program, including recommendations for the structure of the Rural Practice Fellowship Program.

Thank you to all that take the time to participate in the survey and further the work of our Special Committee.

Sincerely,

Angel W. Wawrzynek
Chair, ISBA Special Committee on Serving Lawyers in Rural Practices
