Illinois State Bar Association Elects Board Treasurer, Secretary for 2023-24 Fiscal Year

Sarah E. Toney, of Chicago, and Wesley Gozia, of Carlyle, have been elected treasurer and secretary, respectively, of the Illinois State Bar Association. Their terms will last for one year until the Annual Meeting of 2024.

Toney is the managing attorney at The Toney Law Firm, LLC, where she concentrates in the areas of Criminal Defense, DUI Defense, and Orders of Protection. She is currently serving her second term on the ISBA Board of Governors (Cook County).

Gozia is the owner of Gozia Law Firm LLC, where he concentrates in divorce, family law, estate planning, probate, business law, criminal defense, real estate, and mineral law. He is currently serving his first term on the ISBA Board of Governors (Area VII). 


Founded in 1877, the Illinois State Bar Association is the premier legal association in the state. As a voluntary organization of more than 28,000 members, the Association aims to assist Illinois lawyers in the practice of law and to promote improvements in the administration of justice.
