Sangamon County Bar Association’s Law Day 2025 - The Constitution’s Promise: Out of Many, One
On Thursday, May 1, 2025, the Sangamon County Bar Association hosted its annual Law Day program at Maldaner’s restaurant, 222 S. 6th Street, Springfield. Illinois Fourth District Appellate Court Justice Amy C. Lannerd served as the keynote speaker.
The 2025 Law Day theme was The Constitution's Promise: Out of Many, One.
Justice Amy C. Lannerd focused her remarks on the constitutional right to a trial by jury. Justice Lannerd challenged attendees to focus on the jurors' perspectives. She shared practical tips for how litigators can enhance the jury's experience.
"We are uniquely positioned to explain our constitutional rights to others," said Justice Amy C. Lannerd.
