Banning Books & Barbie CLE and Social
Decalogue Society of Lawyers’ Womxn’s Committee, with co-hosts ISBA Women & the Law Committee and the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois invite you for their next Book Club event. The evening will feature a talk from Renée Rosen, author of Let’s Call Her Barbie and a one-hour CLE on issues related to book-banning by nationally recognized attorney Daliah Saper. Tickets to this event are $35 for ISBA members.
Renée Rosen
Renée Rosen is the USA Today bestselling author of nine novels, including Let's Call Her Barbie, Fifth Avenue Glamour Girl, The Social Graces, and Park Avenue Summer. Her novels often feature strong, enterprising women. Renée is a native of Akron, Ohio, and a graduate of the American University in Washington D.C. She now lives in Chicago with her partner, John Dul, and is currently working on a new novel coming from Penguin Random House / Berkley in 2027.
Daliah Saper
Daliah Saper is nationally recognized for drafting and negotiating complex contracts, helping brands protect their trademarks and copyrights online, and litigating cutting- edge cases involving anonymous online defamation, revenge porn, sexting, cyberbullying, and other emerging Internet Law issues. Daliah made international headlines when she represented a "catfishing" victim before the Illinois Supreme Court. In addition to managing Saper Law for the last 19 years, Daliah has served as an Adjunct Professor of Entertainment and Internet Law at Loyola University Chicago School of Law since 2010.
