John C. Robison Jr. 1943 - 2025

Well known Fairfield attorney, John Curtis Robison, Jr, 82, died at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana, on Thursday, October 2, 2025. A member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Mineral Law Section Council, John was a graduate of Fairfield Community High School, Class of 1961. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts in 1965, a Juris Doctor Degree in 1968, and attended St. Edward Catholic Church.

Funeral Services

Funeral Service Funeral services will be conducted at St. Edward Catholic Church on Saturday, October 11. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30­11:30 a.m., followed by the rosary and Funeral Mass at noon with Reverend Slawomir Ptak officiating.

John was born in Mattoon on June 16, 1943, the son of John Robison Sr. and Mildred Robison Ziegler. He married Leslie Manns on June 8, 1968. They had celebrated 57 years of marriage.

John and Leslie have three children, Mary Melissa Pfafflin (Erich), JohnCurtis III (deceased), and Anne Marilyn Hoover (Matt), and four grandchildren, Evan Hoover, Abigail Pfafflin, Aiden Hoover, and Benjamin Pfafflin.

Survivors

The survivors include his widow, Leslie; two daughters; two sons­in­law; four grandchildren; a sister, Judy Tanner, of Sacramento, Calif.; two brothers­in­law, James Manns (Norma) and Thomas Manns (Christie); and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made either to St. Edward Catholic Church or to University of Louisville Low Vision Rehabilitation Center.
