In the AI-themed September Illinois Bar Journal, George Crouse takes a look at Illinois law and the First Amendment when it comes to artificial intelligence and the nonconsensual disclosure of intimate, but fake, images. Among his takeaways: In Illinois, a person who disseminates sexually explicit images or digitized sexual depictions of someone they know, but without that person’s consent, may be criminally liable even if the image doesn’t contain identifiable information.
