Quintin Anthony “Tony” Siemer, 81 of Effingham, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with a celebration of Tony’s life being held at 1:00 pm at the Gabby Goat in Effingham. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Effingham CEO Program.
Well known Fairfield attorney, John Curtis Robison, Jr, 82, died at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana, on Thursday, October 2, 2025. A member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Mineral Law Section Council, John was a graduate of Fairfield Community High School, Class of 1961. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts in 1965, a Juris Doctor Degree in 1968, and attended St. Edward Catholic Church.

Patricia “Trish” C. Ashton, 76, of Springfield, IL, passed away on September 22, 2025. She was born on March 31, 1949, to William J. and Vivian M. (Smith) Coffey. Trish married the love of her life, James “Jimbo” Ashton on March 7, 1980, and he preceded her in death on February 9, 2022.
She is also preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Judith Kunz; one brother, William N. Coffey; and one niece, Jennifer Ryan.

John Patrick Joyce Jr. (Pat Joyce) born November 10, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away on August 30, 2025. Pat grew up in Oak Park, IL, was the second oldest of seven siblings, attended Fenwick High School, and graduated from Loyola University in Chicago.
He met his beloved wife, Janice, while at Loyola. They married in 1969 while attending law school, graduating in 1972. In 1973, Pat and Janice moved to Springfield, Illinois, where they built their life together and raised their family. For over 50 years, Pat called the Springfield area home.
