David Phillip Schippers, Jr., 88, of Grayslake, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2018 at his home. He was born on Nov. 4, 1929.

Robert L. Dannehl, 92, died Sept. 23, 2018.
A retired judge and attorney, Judge Dannehl was the ninth of twelve children born to his parents William Dannehl and Gussie Racuglen Dannehl on Labor Day, Sept. 6, 1926. Born in Thawville, he moved to Onarga and attended Onarga Public Schools, the University of Illinois and graduated from the University of Illinois College of Law in June of 1950.

Thomas Murray Harris Sr., 95, of Lincoln, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018, at his home.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Britta Borgeson Harris, whom he married on April 15, 1950. He is also survived by his children, Jean (Doug) Brown, LaGrange; Dr. John (Tamara) Harris, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.; Julie Larson, Lincoln; Thomas (Regina) Harris Jr., Lincoln; and 12 grandchildren, Renee Brown, Andrew Brown, Janet Brown, Phillip Brown, Savannah Harris, John Harris Jr., Genevieve (Nathan) Neal, Britta (Kyle) Venstrom, Christina Larson, Thomas Harris III, Katherine Harris and Dean Harris.
Edward J. Alewelt, 86, of Springfield, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018 at Concordia Village.
He was born March 1, 1932, in Springfield, to Frederick R. and Marguerite (Walsh) Alewelt. He married Barb Kadyk on Jan. 10, 1959.
Chicago attorney Robert G. Markoff, of Markoff Law LLC, has been appointed chairman emeritus of National Creditors Bar Association, formerly The National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys (NARCA).
Markoff, a past president, is the first person after the association’s founder to hold the position.
