    Morgan Legal Group and Fairchild Law Offices Combine Practices, Launch Fairchild Morgan Law

    Morgan Legal Group, LLC and Fairchild Law Offices, LLC announced today they have combined their law practices to form Fairchild Morgan Law, a high-end corporate boutique law firm with offices in Chicago and Milwaukee.

    Fairchild Morgan Law will provide a broad range of corporate legal services with a concentration in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private offerings, inbound and outbound foreign investments, commercial real estate, commercial contract review, and outside general counsel services. The practice will serve private and publicly held companies and nonprofits operating both domestically and abroad.

    The paralegal studies program at College of DuPage has received reapproval from the American Bar Association.

    Sally Fairbank, coordinator of the program, said the second consecutive seven-year approval period reflects the program’s ability to meet the rigorous standards set by the ABA.

    John F. Hechinger, 90, of Chicago and Naples, Fla., died Oct. 8, 2018. He was born July 24, 1928.

    He was the loving son of the late Michael Vincent Hechinger and the late Gertrude Irene (Foley) Hechinger; adoring husband of his college sweetheart, Mary Kathryn (O'Brien) Hechinger; proud and devoted father of Mark T. (Kathleen nee Aamodt) Hechinger, Kathleen M. (Michael P.) Kane, and Brian M. (Rosemarie nee Georgine) Hechinger; joyous grandfather of Michael G. Hechinger, Patrick J. Hechinger, James P. Kane, Anna E. Kane, Daniel J. Kane, Isabel R. Hechinger, Caroline F. Hechinger, and John J. Hechinger; dear brother to the late Gertrude A. Lachman and the late Capt. Robert M. Hechinger, (West Point and U.S. Air Force, Retired.); loved uncle of Michael, Christopher and Erich Lachman and Neil O'Brien and Rachel (O'Brien) Clemons.

    Hon. Daniel G. Martin 1955 – 2018

    The Honorable Daniel George Martin, 63, of Chicago, died Thursday, Oct. 11., 2018, after living courageously for three years with pancreas cancer. 

    Martin was an active volunteer with Muscular Dystrophy Association of America and Association of Horizon. He received his undergraduate degree from DePaul University in 1981, earning a law degree from Chicago-Kent Law School in 1985.

    Myles L. Jacobs 1932 – 2018

    Myles L. Jacobs, 86, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018, at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, with his loving daughter and grandchildren at his side.

    Myles was born in New York City, the son of the late Julius and Frieda (nee Gieber) Jacobs. He was a longtime Joliet resident, residing the past year at Senior Star in Romeoville. Myles was a proud U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, honorably discharged with the rank of first lieutenant. He received his bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H., and his law degree from New York University School of Law.
