Douglas M. Karlen passed away March 19 2018 in Chicago. Born October 4 1949 he was the beloved son of the late Harvey M. Karlen and the late Mollie nee Bossen Karlen and brother of David (Gail) Karlen. He was the stepson of June Atlas Karlen stepbrother of Susan Atlas Kelley (Stephen) and Caron Atlas and uncle of Aaron (Amanda) and Naomi (Darin) and Alex Rachel (Zach) and Zoe. Doug thrived professionally for 40 years at Chicago Title Insurance Company most recently as Vice President and Regional Counsel.

Over 30 ISBA members, families, and friends represented ISBA in the 2018 Chicago St. Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday, March 17. The luck of the Irish was with participants, who enjoyed milder temperatures and sunshine as they marched along Columbus Drive. An annual tradition for ISBA, walking alongside our mobile billboard was a great opportunity to represent the association and our lawyers to the public.

Robert Auler
Robert Isham Auler ("Bob"), 77, passed away Monday (Feb. 5, 2018) at his home in Champaign.
Bob was born Sept. 24, 1940, in Peru, Ill. Bob was the first in his family to attend college, working summers in a cement mill to help pay tuition. After a year at Illinois Valley Community College, Bob arrived at the University of Illinois in the Fall of 1959.

Erin Reilly
Erin Elizabeth Reilly was born on January 14, 1969 in St. Louis, Mo. She was the second child of Dennis and Jan (Stelloh) Reilly of Edwardsville.
She married the love of her life, Jim Logan, on November 10th, 2000. Together they are the parents of Nick, Katie, Layne, and the late "Baby Jake" Logan. She is the step-mother of Jared Meyer and Joanna Holmin. When she was not busy being a loving wife and mother, she spent her time practicing family law in Edwardsville.
Erin loved attending baseball and basketball games, gymnastic meets, soccer games, and being a Girl Scout Leader. She loved people. She was constantly donating her time through Pro Bono work, helping others without seeking credit or asking for anything in return.

David M. Harris, 74 years of age, passed into eternal life the morning of February 5th, at 7:20 a.m. David was born November 15th, 1943 in Washington D.C., the second son of Dr. Marshall D. Harris and mother Mary Katherine (nee Franklin). He grew up in Arlington, Virginia. His family moved to Iowa City, Iowa when he was age 11. He graduated from University High School, State University of Iowa (now called the University of Iowa.) He attended Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa, and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin.

Timothy P. Considine, 60, of Belvidere passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018. Born October 8, 1957, in Champaign, the son of James Lloyd and Lois (Morrissey) Considine. Married Kimberly Evink on September 17, 1988, in Rockford, at St. Rita Catholic Church. Employed as an attorney in Rockford for many years. Member of St. Rita Catholic Church. Tim was known and respected for extending himself to those in need. He showed through his example the value of patience and tolerance.
