The ISBA Standing Committee on Women and the Law (WATL) celebrated International Women's Day, Women’s History Month, and the accomplishments of women in the legal profession over afternoon tea at the Loews Chicago Hotel, 455 N Park Drive, on Friday, March 13, 2026. "Illinois women have never waited to make history. When women succeed, we all succeed." - Justice Mary Kay O'Brien Illinois Supreme Court Justice Mary Kay O'Brien served as the keynote speaker.

The Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Access to Justice (ATJ Commission) is charged with promoting accessible, responsive, fair, inclusive, safe, unbiased, and welcoming courts. To help achieve this vision, the ATJ Commission created the Community Trust and Disability Access Committees, both of which are seeking applications for new volunteer members from Illinois who would like to contribute to these efforts. If approved, members are expected to serve three-year, renewable terms and are expected to prepare for, attend, and contribute to monthly Committee meetings.

The 2026 ISBA High School Mock Trial Invitational was held on March 14 and 15, 2026, at Lincoln Land Community College - Springfield. Teams representing fifty-six high schools from across Illinois participated in the event. Normal West High School won first place and will represent Illinois at the National High School Mock Trial Competition in Des Moines, IL on May 7-9, 2026. In second place was Timothy Christian High School, and in third place was Niles West High School.  

The Illinois Supreme Court issued attorney disciplinary orders during its March 2026 Term of Court. Sanctions were imposed because the lawyers engaged in professional misconduct by violating state ethics law.
