The Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Access to Justice (ATJ Commission), and the Access to Justice Division of the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts (AOIC) have launched the application process for a new grant initiative. Applications for the grant are open now through February 18, 2025.

Marcia M. Meis, Director of the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts, announced today that the Tenth Judicial Circuit judges voted to select Caryn J. Kamp as associate judge of the Tenth Judicial Circuit. Ms. Kamp received her undergraduate degree in 2003 from the University of Missouri-Columbia in Columbia, Missouri, and her Juris Doctor in 2006 from Chicago-Kent College of Law in Chicago, Illinois. Ms. Kamp is currently affiliated with Kamp Law Office, Ltd. in Peoria, Illinois and Peoria County Public Defender’s Office in Peoria, Illinois.

The Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) and the Illinois Judges Association (IJA) hosted a luncheon at the 2024 Joint Midyear Meeting on Friday, Dec. 13, 2024, in Chicago. IJA President Judge Mary Colleen Roberts presented Justice David K. Overstreet with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
