Tom Speedie

Tom Speedie, Nashville. Tom is an AV rated solo practitioner, with practice concentrated in Secretary of State Hearings, criminal law, and traffic/DUI. His previous employment includes: Secretary of State Hearing Officer; Clerk to Justice Myerscough; ISBA Director of CLE and Assistant Counsel; and private practice concentrated in personal injury and worker's compensation. Education: SIU-Edwardsville, 1991, St. Louis University Law School, 1998. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and Missouri, 1998, and the U.S. Supreme Court, 2007. Tom is a past chair and current member of the Traffic Laws and Courts Section Council, along with being a current member of the Criminal Justice Section Council and past member of the Administrative Law Section Council. During his tenure at ISBA, he worked with nearly every section council and many committees as the Association's Director of Continuing Legal Education and Staff Liaison. Member: National College of DUI Defense; Washington County Bar Association (President); and, St. Clair County Bar Association. Tom has presented at many Law Ed seminars and has contributed to and co-authored Illinois Bar Journal articles.
