Lathrop GPM Bolsters Tort, Insurance & Environmental Practice with Two New Additions in Chicago & Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (February 17, 2026) — Lathrop GPM is pleased to announce that Counsel Stephanie Bradshaw in Kansas City and Counsel Bradley Dlatt in Chicago have joined the firm in the Tort, Insurance & Environmental Practice Group. Their arrivals build on the practice group’s strong recent growth, following most recently, Partner Catherine Goldhaber in Chicago, additions in Kansas City, Dallas, Denver and St. Louis, as well as several promotions to partnership earlier this year.

Bradshaw brings over a decade of experience as a federal prosecutor and civil litigator handling complex litigation, high-stakes investigations and matters involving financial exposure and organizational risk. While most recently serving as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Western District of Missouri, she worked closely with a variety of federal and state law enforcement agencies, directing large-scale, complex prosecutions and advising on issues involving restitution, forfeiture and financial accountability. Drawing on this unique background, Bradshaw is well-suited to navigate claims involving alleged negligence, product-related issues, commercial torts, insurance coverage disputes and matters with substantial factual or investigative components.

“I’m excited to return to private practice as part of Lathrop GPM’s Tort, Insurance & Environmental Practice Group and to apply what I’ve learned during my time in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in this new role,” said Bradshaw. “I’m eager to work alongside this outstanding team and use my experience to defend insureds and corporate clients in sophisticated tort and insurance matters.”

A nationally recognized attorney, Dlatt similarly brings nearly 10 years of experience advising businesses, nonprofit organizations and individuals on complex insurance matters and disputes. He has secured substantial recoveries for policyholders across a broad range of property, casualty and specialty coverage, including claims involving natural disasters, cyber incidents and data breaches, directors and officers liability, professional liability, environmental and pollution claims, product liability, breaches of representations and warranties, employment practices liability, wage and hour liability, government investigations and more.

“I’m honored to join such a respected team of policyholder attorneys at Lathrop GPM,” said Dlatt. “I look forward to supporting my existing clients while also helping to further expand the firm’s work in complex claims and insurance coverage matters.”

“Adding Stephanie and Bradley to our expanding Tort, Insurance, & Environmental Practice Group is a great way to start the year,” said Mara Cohara, the group’s leader. “With more than 20 years of combined high-level experience spanning property, casualty, and specialty coverage, as well as claims involving negligence and product-related issues, they bring valuable perspective and a strong commitment to serving both our clients and our team.”

Bradshaw earned her J.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law and her B.J. from the University of Missouri. Dlatt earned his J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, as well as his M.P.P. in National Security Policy and his B.A. from The George Washington University.
